What You Will Be Doing
• Provide high quality evidence based clinical care within the designated scope of practice • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring services and practice, and taking a leadership role in policy, process, and service development. • Lead and manage senior and junior medical staff in the aged psychiatry program to achieve optimum outcomes. • Promote teaching and research in aged psychiatry • Maintain high performance in least restrictive care • Be aware of and work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures • Work within relevant legislative framework
What You Need
We anticipate you will have: • Medical Practitioner registered in Australia. • Relevant Specialist experience. • Fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. • Certificate of Advanced Training in Old Age Psychiatry • Relevant track record and experience in clinical management as well as leadership. • Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence-based practice. • Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary clinical team. • Patient safety and quality review knowledge and skills. • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2021. • Leadership and management skills (desirable). • Teaching skills (desirable).
