Position Summary

The Support Services Assistant is an integral and valued member of the wider Support Services team. This role is accountable for the provision of food services for inpatient, visitors and staff, whilst ensuring compliance to the Food safety Guidelines and Victorian Cleaning Standards. The Support Services Assistant contributes to a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide effective food preparation and distribute to the out wards in an efficient manner.
• Ensure cleaning standards are in accordance with the Food Safety and Victoria Cleaning Guidelines.
• Demonstrates positive workplace behaviours and relationships at all times.

Essential Criteria

• Food Safety Certificate (post 2015)
• Accepts responsibilities for own actions
• Uses a polite and considerate manner when dealing with others
• Understands how individual jobs impact on the work area’s service delivery
• Flexible and a self-motivated
