What You Will Be Doing
The Application Services Engineer is responsible for technical support, delivery, and implementation of applications, databases, and integration software used across the organisation. The role will develop, implement, and maintain vendor supplied and in-house applications whilst assuring security and high availability.
This role will work closely with users to understand requirements and translate them into feasible technical solutions. A well-organised, client focused approach to excellent service delivery, as well as strong technical skills and analytical abilities are critical to the success in this role.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, maintain and support application solutions, database solutions and integration services. • Investigate and resolve technical issues, providing technical assistance and expertise to Peninsula Health staff, partners, and contractors as required. • Monitor and improve application performance, availability, recoverability, and security. • Serve as technical resource for assigned projects to deliver technical solutions and outcomes. • Create and maintain relevant documentation for effective ongoing applications support and maintenance.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have: • Strong technical skills and experience in supporting critical applications in large environment spanning on-premises and cloud infrastructures • Advanced problem solving skills with strong abilities in diagnosing and resolving technical issues • Excellent stakeholders and vendor management skills • Intermediate skills and experience with software programming/scripting languages and techniques • Intermediate skills and experience with application integration technologies • Intermediate Transact SQL (T-SQL) skills and strong experience with SQL database products • Intermediate skills and experience with client/server and web based applications
