Position Summary An opportunity exists for experienced Environmental Services Assistants to join our Support Services Team on a casual basis. The Environmental Services Assistant contributes to a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff.
This is a multi-task role. You need to be EXPERIENCED, flexible, competent, able to work without ongoing direct supervision & physically capable of undertaking these physically demanding responsibilities.
The successful applicant will be well-versed in all aspects of cleaning including floor care, waste removal and soiled linen collection. The ideal candidate will have the ability to take the initiative & respond to changes in cleaning requirements, with ability to prioritise tasks and problem solve
Key Responsibilities • Provide a safe working environment • Work in accordance to the Victorian Cleaning Standards • Perform all duties in a timely and efficient manner • Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered at all times
Essential Criteria • Understanding of infection control practices applicable to cleaning. • Previous experience in an Healthcare environment would be advantageous. • Must be able to take direction. • Someone who can complete tasks unsupervised or work well within a team. • Can do attitude and good work ethic • Team player
