Applications are invited for the position of Pain Fellow. The Frankston Hospital Pain Medicine Unit consists of a pain medicine physician, specialist anaesthetist and a drug and alcohol physician. The PMU provides comprehensive medical management, physical rehabilitation and cognitive behavioural therapy through a related Peninsula Health clinic and the opportunity to gain skills in injection therapies and neuromodulation. Member of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, ANZCA.

The Pain Management Unit is structured within the Department of Medicine and supports a wide range of services. The Department has a strong commitment to excellence in clinical practice, education and research and preparing senior trainees for consultant practice.

Essential Criteria

• Medical Practitioner Registered in Australia.
• Relevant Specialist experience.
• Relevant track record and experience in clinical management.
• Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence based practice.
• Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary clinical team
• Teaching skills.
• Patient safety and quality review knowledge and skills.
