Peninsula Health provides public healthcare services to residents of the Mornington Peninsula.

Our hospitals and emergency departments are located at Frankston and Rosebud, and we provide a wide range of community health, dental, rehabilitation, mental health, palliative care ad aged care services from campuses at Frankston, Hastings, Mornington and Rosebud.

Position Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Grade 1 Dietitian to join the dynamic and experienced Dietetic team at Peninsula Health. This is full time permanent position.

Nutrition and Dietetics at Peninsula Health comprises over 20 EFT working in multi disciplinary teams across acute, subacute and ambulatory settings. The successful applicant will have a dedicated inpatient workload at Frankston Hospital. There may also be a component of outpatient care.

The Nutrition and Dietetics team at Peninsula Health has a strong commitment to clinical excellence and research and we promote and support ongoing professional development. This position will actively participate in the Nutrition and Dietetic 'buddy program', involving skill development in paediatric nutritional management. The successful applicant will have a strong interest in paediatrics and/or experience in this clinical area.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Senior Dietitian and / or Grade 2 Dietitian, work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to provide best practice dietetic assessment, intervention, case management, education and discharge planning for inpatients and outpatients utilising a person centred approach.
• Actively engage in clinical supervision and the buddy program
• Actively participate in the Quality Improvement program

Essential Criteria

• Member, or eligible for membership of Dietitians Association of Australia
• Member, or eligible for membership of the Accredited Practicing Dietitian Program
• Demonstrated participation in Professional Development
• Computer literate and Current Driver’s License
• Ability to work as a part of a team
• A strong interest in the area of paediatrics
• Commitment to accuracy of record keeping & reporting in the medical record
