Position Summary
Peninsula Health is a highly regarded metropolitan health service that works in partnership with its stakeholders to build a healthy community. Peninsula Mental Health Service is expanding and developing new services that require innovative, energetic and experienced staff. In 2017, we will be opening a new six bedded Psychiatric Assessment and Planning Unit (PAPU).

The PAPU is a mental health short stay treatment and assessment unit that provides accelerated access to specialist psychiatric assessment and short term treatment, without requiring admission to general adult acute inpatient unit beds. The PAPU addresses planning and partnering support arrangements for the client back into the community on discharge.

Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to have the unique opportunity to commence working in a new program with significant opportunities in developing and supporting the commencement of the PAPU. This is a permanent 0.6 EFT appointment and we welcome the possibility of a full time appointment within our service. Full time and part time applicants should apply.
