The Peninsula Health – Community Dental Program operates 23 chairs over 4 separate sites; providing General, Specialist and Emergency dental care to those residing and holidaying on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula.

We seek a suitably experienced Dental Assistant / Receptionist to complement our professional and caring multi-disciplinary team. This is a fixed term part-time maternity leave position based at our Rosebud site.

Position Summary
The Dental Assistant is a key member of the wider multi-disciplinary dental team. This role not only provides efficient and effective support for clinicians, but also contributes to the smooth running of the dental reception and the delivery of quality customer service to our clients and their families.

Essential Criteria
• Certificate III or IV in dental assisting
• Working with Children’s check
• Police Check
• Written Communication skills
• Computer skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Seeks information to solve work problems
• Ability to work without supervision
• Understands the management of resources
• Accepts responsibility for own actions

Selection Criteria Essential: Certificate III or IV in dental assisting qualification
Desirable: Excellent written and verbal skills
Essential: Demonstrated commitment to customer service and client engagement
Desirable: Experience with in the public dental health sector
Essential: Well developed interpersonal skills
Essential: Demonstrated ability to exercise time management skills whilst maintain a high level of infection control principles.
Essential: Knowledge of titanium dental software or other dental software program
Essential: Demonstrated work ethic and reliability.
