Position Summary
Peninsula Health is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Infectious Diseases (ID) Physician for a fractional VMO position at Frankston Hospital. The Peninsula Health ID Department consists of five ID VMOs who provide quality inpatient and outpatient services, a busy consultation service as well as antimicrobial stewardship and infection control services.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant is expected to complete a weekly antimicrobial stewardship round, weekly meeting with HITH and a fortnightly ID outpatient clinic. They are also expected to participate in the clinical teaching of junior medical staff and medical students. An interest in medical research would be an advantage. If desired by the applicant it may be possible to create a full time position at Peninsula Health, with the remainder of the week as a General Medicine Physician.
