What You Will Be Doing
Our Radiology Department is currently looking for a Radiographer Assistant to provide high quality, accurate and efficient assistance to the radiographers in the Radiology Department. As a Radiographer Assistant you will provide invaluable support that maximises the efficiency and staff productivity to the department through wide range duties. This is a varied and challenging role working in a team environment to ensure services are provided to our clients in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
The Radiographer Assistant requires high levels of Computer Literacy, Medical Terminology, attention to detail, empathy and customer service skills. Responsibilities include: • Caring for consumers by maintaining a high standard of patient care, safety and confidentiality • Patient observation and liaison with other Ward Clerks, Assistants and Health Professionals • Assisting radiographers with diagnostic imaging procedures • Preparing patients for imaging procedures • Ensuring workflow is coordinated effectively and efficiently. • Recording and completing correct documentation for patients and procedures, which will include computer orientated work • Ensure change rooms, examination rooms and support areas are clean and tidy • Reprocessing reusable medical devices and equipment • Maintaining effective infection control practices
