Position Summary
Peninsula Health Mental Health Service (PHMHS) provides comprehensive, integrated services across inpatient units, residential services, a comprehensive community-based service and a consultation & liaison/emergency service.

An exciting opportunity is available in our Youth Community Mental Health Team. We are seeking two qualified and enthusiastic mental health clinicians, (RPN4, OT3, SW3)) to work on a permanent or part time basis in our passionate community youth mental health team.
Our work encompasses clinical assessment, risk formulation, therapeutic interventions and support of children, young people and their families and carers. We work closely with staff in a range of other sectors, such as schools, Child Protection, family services and community services.

The Mental Health Clinician provides timely and responsive mental health assessment, clinical diagnosis and diagnostic formulation, multimodal therapeutic interventions and intensive care co-ordination for young people aged 16-25 years. The Senior Clinicians will work closely with the Youth Services Manager and leadership team to develop and implement a new clinical team to provide quality, recovery, focused care.

The Senior Clinicians will be supported in the development of leadership and specialist clinical skills through supervision, line management and development of a performance plan identifying and encouraging professional development.

Essential Criteria
- Current registration with relevant board. See attachment l
Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of
the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014, the National Safety
and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the
accreditation process of this under the Short Notice
Assessment Pathway (SNAP).

- Demonstrated level of clinical skills in the assessment and management of consumers with a mental disorder and/or drug and alcohol disorders in a community setting and demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinaryservice delivery framework
- Current Victorian Drivers License
- Experience in the engagement, assessment and treatment of young people with mental health disorders and a commitment to recovery focused, community based treatment for people with a mental illness
- Working with Children’s Check
