Position Summary
Peninsula Health Mental Health Service are seeking an innovative and energetic acute clinician to to be part of an expanding mental health service as part of the Intensive Treatment Team (ITT) based in Mornington.

As a Clinician, you are a member of the multidisciplinary team, provides timely and responsive mental health assessment and treatment to people who require urgent, short term or ongoing intensive community based mental health assessment, treatment and support. The Clinician works competently within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence based person centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes

About our Intensive Treatment Team
The ITT is an experience close knit team who work with the clients and their comprehensive assessment and care plan to provide intensive community based short term treatment interventions during an acute phase of illness as an alternative to hospitalisation. This team has the opportunity to work with a broad range of geographical area from Frankston all the way to Portsea!

Selection Criteria Essential: Qualified and Registered, with relevant National Board (clinical psychology for Psychologist; Mental Health nursing qualification such as a post graduate qualification in psychiatric/mental health nursing or a specialist undergraduate psychiatric/mental health nursing program).
Essential: Social Work: Degree in social work or other relevant qualification, with relevant qualification and approved for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
Essential: Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014, the National Standards for Mental Health Services 2010, the National Standards for the Mental Health Workforce 2002 and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards including EQuIP
Essential: Compliance with other relevant legislation
Essential: Working knowledge of discipline specific legislation relevant to clinical practice
Essential: Able to use basic computer software applications.
Essential: Prepares written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
Essential: Communicates well with and relates to consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
Essential: Extensive experience in the mental health field including acute inpatient services and/or community mental health care
Essential: Proven ability in the management of clients with a major mental illness and in the techniques of assessment, crisis intervention, counselling and psychosocial rehabilitation
