What You Will Be Doing

The NMT will be available for participation in the rotating shift roster at all sites and afterhours on-call.

The Grade 1 Nuclear Medicine Technologist is part of a wider multi-disciplinary Radiology team and will:
• Produce a high quality diagnostic medical imaging service images as directed by the Operations Director in conjunction with modality supervisors.
• Assist in workflow, quality and administrative requirements of the department.
• Assist other team members and clinical staff in the provision of all medical imaging services- keeping an up to date record of same.
• Active and demonstrable engagement in departmental education, research and continued professional development
• Responsible for working with all staff to ensure that departmental guidelines are adhered to at all times
• Participate in a rotating roster and capable of on call duties and requirements
• Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of care relating to their area of responsibility
• Demonstrate high levels of clinical reasoning including critical analysis, problem solving and decision making
• Apply and adapt skills in complex situations while managing clinical risks
• Accept responsibility for continued competence relevant to the context of practice
• Undertake regular review of specific practice competencies at a local level
• Work as part of a team with medical, nursing and other allied health practitioners
• Work autonomously as well as collaboratively to initiate the care process
• Are accountable for their clinical practice.
