Position Summary We are seeking passionate Mental Health Clinician's to work in the Consultation Liaison service. We have the following vacancies; • Full time Grade 4 Registered Nurse • 2 x part time Grade 3 Registered Nurse
The Mental Health Consultation Liaison Service is the assessment (face to face), treatment and planning service for patients with co-morbid mental health and physical health needs who have presented or are admitted to medical wards at Peninsula Health Frankston Hospital or the Emergency Department.
The Mental Health Consultation Liaison service provides support, advice and guidance to non-mental health staff, clients, carers and families and addresses discharge planning with community mental health and support services to ensure appropriate mental health follow-up.
Essential Criteria The successful applicant will be a registered nurse with advanced interpersonal skills and preferably have a broad range of experience in mental health. They should have a through understanding of the mental health system, developed assessment and risk assessment skills in order to provide timely and thoughtful care to consumers within the emergency department.
