Position Summary
MWU staff work together to deliver the full range of medical recruitment and administrative support to PH medical practitioners, Clinical Directors and Executive Directors.
The Operations Support Officer Medical Workforce Unit works with MWU staff, Clinical Directors and the Executive Director Medical Services (EDMS) to deliver efficient and effective recruitment and overall co-ordination of junior medical staff requirements at Peninsula Health.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with Junior Medical Staff contracts and processing of returned documents • Assist with Senior Medical Staff contracts and processing of returned documents • Assist with the maintenance of the Provider and Prescriber numbers database to support IT functionality and medical billing requirements • Assist with Medical Officers Bank activities such as fortnightly pay sheets, contracts and SMS central maintenance • Assist with Senior Medical Staff Continuing Medical Education (CME) processing activities • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of financial reports by required due dates including credit card transaction review and reconciliation, monthly patient transport expenditure and Ambulance Victoria and Non-Emergency Patient Transport provider invoice management as required
Essential Criteria
• Experience in Human Resources administration or similar discipline • Well developed written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work autonomously, within broad direction, to develop and implement programs • Ability to work as an effective member within the unit and organisation
