An opportunity exists to join our dedicated staff to join an award winning multi-disciplinary dental team environment. We have 2 positions available: a permanent part time position and a permanent fixed term position.

The Peninsula Health – Community Dental Program operates 23 chairs over 4 separate sites; providing General, Specialist and Emergency dental care to those residing and holidaying on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula

The Dental Officer is a key member of the wider multidisciplinary dental team. This role has a focus on public health, providing a range of treatment within the clinician’s scope of practice and registration. They also contribute to the smooth running of the dental operation and the delivery of quality customer service to our clients and their families. The dental officer should:

• Ensure a high standard of clinical treatment is delivered at all times
• Ensure up to date with current best practice
• Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered at all times
• Perform all duties in a timely, efficient and professional manner

Our hospitals and emergency departments are located at Frankston and Rosebud, and we provide a wide range of community health, dental, rehabilitation, mental health, palliative care ad aged care services from campuses at Frankston, Hastings, Mornington and Rosebud.

Essential Criteria

• Bachelor Dental Science or equivalent
• Registration with AHPRA (or ability to obtain)
• Radiography licence (or ability to obtain)
• Provider Number
• Prescription Number
• Working With Children and Police Checks
• Written and Verbal communication skills
• Basic Computer skills

Selection Criteria Essential: Bachelor Dental Science or equivalent
Essential: Demonstrated ability to exercise time management skills whilst maintaining a high level of quality care
Essential: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Essential: Dental Radiation Use Licence
Desirable: Knowledge of titanium dental software
Desirable: Appreciates the responsibilities, legal obligations and limits that apply to the organisation
Desirable: Demonstrated clinical practice experience within Australia
