Position Summary

Peninsula Health currently has an opportunity for an experienced and person centred focused Registrar/HMO to join our Mental Health team on a full time basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a consultant psychiatrist, provide appropriate, recovery focussed, medical care and treatment to patients within the Peninsula Health Mental Health Service
• Practice within the evidence-based treatment guidelines of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and other recognised international organisations
• Work in accordance with Peninsula Health organisational policies and procedures, including occupational health and safety and legislative requirements
• Provide afterhours cover to Peninsula Health mental health services by participating in the junior medical staff on call roster
• Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary team who provides recovery-focussed care, treatment and support to patients of the Peninsula Health Mental Health Service.


Essential Criteria


• MB BS or equivalent
• General, limited or provisional registration as a Medical Practitioner
• Relevant experience in clinical management
• Completion of Clover Clinical Systems training at commencement of employment
• Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence based practice
• Ability to work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team
