Permanent Part-time.

Peninsula Health is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Grade Two Occupational Therapist in a subacute rehabilitation setting.

This dynamic, challenging and rewarding position is suited to an Occupational Therapist with a demonstrated ability to provide evidence based clinical care to the subacute rehabilitation and aged care caseload. The successful applicant will have highly developed communication and organisational skills and will demonstrate a team based approach within a multidisciplinary setting. Clinicians with an interest in cognition, general medicine and a strong commitment to evidence based practice are encouraged to apply.

Selection Criteria Essential: Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA)
Essential: Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
Essential: Advanced ability to assess occupational performance considering physical, cognitive and psychosocial aspects of the person and their environment and determine appropriate intervention for the subacute inpatient setting
Essential: Advanced ability to participate in multidisciplinary team work and discharge planning activities
Essential: Demonstrated competence in the area of complex home assessments and recommendations for equipment or modifications
Essential: Ability to supervise students, Grade 1 staff and Allied Health Assistants; ensuring competent performance and employee development
Essential: High level of verbal and written communication skills appropriate for the purpose and intended audience
Essential: Demonstrated commitment to professional development and evidence based practice
Essential: Demonstrated understanding of and participation in the quality improvement process
