What You Will Be Doing

• Provide high quality evidence based clinical care within the designated scope of practice.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring services and practice, and taking a leadership role in policy and process development.
• Lead and manage senior clinicians and junior medical staff in the mental health service to achieve optimum outcomes.
• Ensure patient flow and care is managed in a person centred, effective and safe manner.
• Maintain high performance in recovery based care.
• Be aware of and work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.


What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Fellowship of the Royal Australasian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022
• Medical Practitioner Registered in Australia.
• Relevant Specialist experience.
• Relevant track record and experience in clinical management.
• Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence-based practice.
• Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team.
• Patient safety and quality review knowledge and skills.
• Leadership and management skills (desirable)

Sector – Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement 2022-2026 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
