About Peninsula Health Peninsula Health provides public healthcare services to residents of the Mornington Peninsula.
Our hospitals and emergency departments are located at Frankston and Rosebud, and we provide a wide range of community health, dental, rehabilitation, mental health, palliative care ad aged care services from campuses at Frankston, Hastings, Mornington and Rosebud.

Position Summary Peninsula Health Mental Health Service is looking for a Full-time OR Part-time Psychiatrists in the Adult Community & Youth Mental Health Programs.
Applicants must be registered as a Medical Practitioner in Australia and either be a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or be eligible for Fellowship within the next 3 months.
Key Responsibilities • Provide high quality evidence based clinical care within the designated scope of practice • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by monitoring services and practice • Lead and manage junior staff to achieve optimum health outcomes • Be aware of and work in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
Essential Criteria • Medical Practitioner Registered in Australia. • Fellowship of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists • Relevant Specialist experience. • Relevant track record and experience in clinical management. • Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence based practice • Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary clinical team • Teaching skills. • Patient safety and quality review knowledge and skills. • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014,including the mental health principles; the protection of rights (including working with Nominated Persons and Advance Statements); the compulsory treatment framework; capacity and informed consent; restrictive interventions; the Mental Health Tribunal.
