An exciting opportunity exists to join Peninsula Health in the role of Deputy Director Quality.

The Deputy Director Quality works with key staff across the organisation on the implementation of National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (National Standards) to effectively manage risk reduce patient harm and improve the effectiveness of care provided.

The incumbent will provide leadership to the organisation in order to achieve accreditation under the National Standards framework through coordination and direction of activities for Organisation Wide Survey, Periodic Review and Supported Self Assessments.

The position involves working with a range of stakeholders and includes supporting Peninsula Health to achieve additional Accreditation requirements such as Mental Health, Community Health and Aged Care.

The successful applicant will be a team player, with a can- do attitude and exceptional interpersonal skills, with experience in acute health care being essential, as is experience in the development and implementation of clinical quality and safety initiatives.

Selection Criteria Essential: Do you hold a Tertiary qualification in a healthcare related field?
Essential: Do you have previous operational experience leading services in healthcare at a senior management level?
Essential: Do you have experience in the development and implementation of Quality, Safety and Clinical Risk Programs?
Essential: Do you have an understanding of quality management issues, especially systems and processes for achieving continuous quality improvement?
Desirable: Do you have demonstrated capacity to ensure clinical and corporate governance frameworks are complied with?
Desirable: •Experience in change management.
