Peninsula Health provides public healthcare services to residents of the Mornington Peninsula.

Our hospitals and emergency departments are located at Frankston and Rosebud, and we provide a wide range of community health, dental, rehabilitation, mental health, palliative care ad aged care services from campuses at Frankston, Hastings, Mornington and Rosebud.

Position Summary

Grade 2 Physiotherapist (community health). Maternity leave cover until Dec 2018. 3 days per week. Located in Mornington (Peninsula Health)

The Early Intervention in Chronic Disease Program (EIiCD) is a multidisciplinary team who works in a holistic manner helping clients self manage their health.

The EIiCD physiotherapist provides predominantly centre based services, to clients presenting with musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, diabetic and neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality, safe, evidence based physiotherapy services within a multi-disciplinary team

• Utilise a client centred approach to assessment and care planning ensuring that the broader health needs of the client are included

• Build and expand professional skill levels to ensure that clients receive the best possible service reflecting up to date evidence based practice

• Work within an agreed scope of practice in accordance with Peninsula Health policy governing credentialing, scope of practice and introduction of new interventions.

• Demonstrate positive workplace behaviour and relationships at all times


Essential Criteria

Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Demonstrated experience as a physiotherapist in a clinical outpatient setting.
