Advertisement text We are seeking a part time Diversional Therapist to join our Diversional Therapy team at The Mornington Centre, Peninsula Health. The Diversional Therapy team specialises in the care of patients with multiple chronic and complex medical conditions which may include resolving delirium, cognitive impairment and/or dementia.

Position Summary
The successful applicant will possess formal qualifications in Diversional Therapy or the equivalent, and have experience in aged care. We seek a dynamic team player that is creative, an excellent communicator and has the capacity to run groups effectively and provide 1:1 person centred activities.

The Diversional Therapist will join a team of 3 and be supported onsite by the Operations Manager for the Mornington Centre. Additionally the Cognition Service provides supervision and support.

Selection Criteria Essential: Formal qualification in Diversional therapy, Allied Health Assistant or equivalent
Essential: Extensive experience in delivering programs to people with Dementia
Essential: Sound experience managing challenging behaviours through Diversional Activity
