Position Summary
The Podiatry Department provides services to multiple sites throughout the Mornington Peninsula. Services include acute, rehabilitation, aged care, community and home-based podiatry.

This position requires a skilled and innovative Podiatrist to deliver high-quality evidence-based podiatry services to a broad range of clients. The Grade 3 Podiatrist is a senior podiatry position that is required to provide leadership and clinical expertise. The podiatrist will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team and be able to work both with individual clients and provide leadership in the ambulatory setting. The podiatrist must have skills and experience in providing clinical supervision to junior staff, encouraging evidence-based practice and self-reflection.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership in the ambulatory setting
• Provide clinical supervision, professional podiatry advice, and support to podiatry
staff within the Podiatry Department, particularly in the absence of the Head of
Podiatry.
• Provide support to the Head of Department in areas of Quality Improvement and Clinical Governance
• Lead and encourage the staff of the Podiatry Department to participate in research
• Assist and promote the translation of research
• Provide quality, safe and cost-effective Podiatry services within a multidisciplinary team.
• Build and expand professional skill levels to ensure that clients receive the best possible service reflecting up to date evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrate positive workplace behaviors and relationships at all times.

Essential Criteria
• Registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia
• Tertiary qualification in Podiatry
• Current Drivers License
• Experience in the Community Health Setting
• Experience in the inpatient setting.
• Experience in the High Risk Foot
• Holder of current Working With Children Check
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, self-motivated and also able to work independently.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Endorsed Prescriber of Scheduled Medicines or working towards Endorsement.
Desirable: Previous experience working within specialty clinics
Essential: Previous experience in providing clinical supervision to clinicians and students.
