Position Summary
The Residency Program at Peninsula Health promotes evidence-based practice, problem solving approach and to be competency based. The program directs, facilitates and support the professional growth and practice of pharmacists in a supportive and innovative environment. This position is suited to a newly registered pharmacist or a pharmacist new to hospital practice.
This position includes rotations in the dispensary, clinical pharmacy (including general medicine, surgery, specialty units, and sub-acute rotations) across Peninsula Health sites. The Resident is expected to participate in all aspects of the Residency Program, including attending all required education activities and completing clinical assessments; and will also be involved in quality improvement projects/audits, staff education and clinical supervision of interns and students.
Key Responsibilities
• Provision of day to day activities of a clinical pharmacy service as detailed in the Clinical Pharmacy Service Guidelines, according to the Resident roster. • Ensure a safe high quality care in your work which includes complying with best practice standards, identifying and reporting any variance to expected standards and minimising the risk of adverse outcomes and patient harm.
