What You Will Be Doing

As the NUM working in the Surgical Services Suite your primary role will be to lead and mentor a team of nursing staff and other health professionals. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong innovative leadership style and commitment to the provision of quality and evidence-based patient care.

You will work in close collaboration with the Anaesthetic/PACU NUM and provide support and mentoring to the ANUM team regarding the daily activities of running the Suite including, staffing, equipment requirements and patient flow.

Our leaders have a strong focus on the management of staff encompassing staffing, recruitment, retention, rostering and HR processes.

Peninsula Health is currently working through the development phase of an exciting new build which will see considerable changes to the Frankston site with growth in most areas including 5 additional operating rooms.

If you are an experienced Registered Nurse with proven leadership skills then we would love to hear from you!

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Current AHPRA Registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse
• Peri operative clinical experience
• Currently working towards or having completed a postgraduate qualification in health management
• Experience in a leadership or management role
• Demonstrated ability to manage human and financial resources
• Highly developed interpersonal skills

Selection Criteria Essential: Are you a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
Desirable: Have you completed or are working toward, a post graduate qualification in Health Management?
Essential: Have you had recent, thorough clinical experience in the areas of Scrub/Scout
Essential: Able to use basic computer software applications.
Essential: Completion of Post grad Studies in Periop Nursing
Essential: Do you have Australian Citizenship, hold permanent residency status or a valid Working Visa without Restrictions? If yes, please specify the details of your Citizenship or Visa. e.g. 'Permanent Visa, Subclass 155 no conditions/restrictions' or 'I am an Australian citizen'
