The General Medicine unit admits 5,500 patients each year and includes a range of busy outpatient clinics. In February 2016 a new model of care was introduced following the opening of new wards and Emergency facilities at Frankston.
The successful candidate will form part of the acute care/General Medicine service at Frankston Hospital. They will be able to participate in day to day clinical and non-clinical activities of the department including teaching and quality assurance. This position is specifically 50% "job share". The job share arrangement will be to share a position that is 7 days on and 7 days off for a six month term. It is envisaged that the two participants will participate in a 4 days on and 3 days off one week and then 3 on and 4 off the following week roster revolving in this sequence. This will be primarily a service role in the acute medical admissions (MAAT) team. The duty roster will include day, evening and night shifts.
