Position Summary
An opportunity has risen for a permanent fulltime or part time experienced and motivated registered nurse to become part of the team on the Children’s and Adolescent Ward. If you have recent paediatric experience then this position could be for you.
The Children’s and Adolescent Ward has 15 beds which caters for children from 0-16 years of age. We care for children with diverse medical needs and we provide high acuity care when needed. Our surgical care include orthopaedics, plastics, ENT, Maxfax and general paediatric surgery. We work closely with Special Care Nursery and the Emergency Department. We have strong links with the wider community and liaise closely with both Monash Children’s and RCH. All staff are supported with in house education and simulation centre learning.

Key Responsibilities
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document comprehensive nursing care within the area in accordance with evidence based best practice standards and Peninsula Health Values.
• Ensure the safety of the public, patients and staff in relation to the provision of a safe environment from both OH&S and Infection Control Perspectives.
• Complete all mandatory training as per hospital policy and participate in organised training and development activities.
• Assist in the orientation of new staff and the supervision and instruction of students.

Essential Criteria
• Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Recent paediatric experience.
• Right to work in Australia.
