Position Summary
Carinya Residential Aged Care facility currently has opportunities for Endorsed Nurses on a permanent fulltime or part time basis who can deliver person centered care to those who are over 65 years of age and require the management in the psychogeriatric environment. You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team based at Golf links rd Frankston. You will need to demonstrate your clinical expertise and suitability to the position.

Key Responsibilities
•Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document comprehensive nursing care within the area in accordance with evidence based best practice standards and Peninsula Health Values.
• Ensure the safety of the public, patients and staff in relation to the provision of a safe environment from both OH&S and Infection Control Perspectives.
• Complete all mandatory training as per hospital policy and participate in organized training and development activities.


Essential Criteria
• Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for care recipients and consumers.
• Working knowledge and understanding of the Aged Care Act, the Victorian Mental Health Act 2014; The National Standards for Mental Health Workforce 2002; The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards including EQuIP4; The Nurses Act 1993.
• Able to identify continuous improvement opportunities for improved care recipient outcomes.
• Demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional development.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills commensurate with experience in Aged Care including those with Dementia and /or a psychiatric diagnosis
• Medication endorsement
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Able to use basic computer software applications.
• Prepares written documentation using clear, concise and grammatically correct language.
• Communicates well with and relates to care recipients / consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
• Takes responsibility for own actions and is proactive and self-starting.
• Professional, welcoming and courteous at all times
