What You Will Be Doing

We are currently seeking a Senior Mental Health Clinician to join the brand new Peninsula Health Crisis Hub based in Frankston Hospital Emergency Department.

You will work closely with the Crisis Hub Manager and other stakeholders to develop and implement new processes in line with the agreed model of care. The role will be clinical, providing brief assessment to the cohort on initial presentation to the Emergency Department and prioritising, coordinating and facilitating timely assessment by the most appropriate clinical staff. What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

• Qualified Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration and additional qualifications in AOD
• Extensive experience in the mental health field including acute in-patient services and/or community mental health care.
• Proven ability in the management of clients with a major mental illness and in techniques of assessment, crisis intervention, and counselling and psychosocial rehabilitation.

Selection Criteria Essential: Qualified and registered with relevant National Board
Essential: Extensive clinical experience in the mental health field including acute inpatient and confidence in making complex clinical decisions
Desirable: Experience in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating innovative clinical services
Desirable: Experience/training in Alcohol and drug counselling
