Peninsula Health Mental Health Service are seeking innovative and energetic Peer Support Workers to be part of an expanding mental health service.

The Frankston Adult Intensive Treatment Team provides community based short term treatment interventions for clients 25-64 years.

The team works with the client and their comprehensive assessment and care plan to provide intensive community based short term treatment interventions during an acute phase of illness as an alternative to hospitalisation. This includes frequent reviews by clinicians and specialist medical staff, including Consultant Psychiatrists, treatment provision and planning, liaison and linkage with private providers and primary care.

The Consumer Peer Worker and Carer Peer Worker will use their lived experience to provide individualised support to consumers or carers with the goal of recovery, modeling hope for recovery, and encouraging self-awareness by exploring an individual’s meaning of their experience.

The team works a 7 day rotating roster, 2 shifts per day 8:30am-5pm and 2pm-10:30pm and is based in Frankston.
