Are you ready to practise your pharmacy skill and knowledge in a comprehensive electronic environment for inpatient medication management?


From admission medication history reconciliation, inpatient prescribing, interventions, discharge reconciliation and Pharmacy update to local doctors, our pharmacists can do all these tasks on iPad (TM) provided by the department.

Now this is an opportunity for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join us in an open and collaborative working environment, with strong supportive culture among peers. Pharmacists are all expected to do their utmost to provide reliable drug information and patient counselling. They are expected to manage pharmacy related questions from medical, paramedical, nursing staff or patients as well as participate in the education and supervision of student and intern pharmacists and work experience students.

In addition to the general dispensing and clinical ward pharmacy services, Peninsula Health also provides the following services: Drug Trials, Sterile Preparations for Hospital in Home Unit, Oncology Day Clinic, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring, Drug Utilisation Review, Infectious Diseases/Antimicrobial Stewardship, Mental Health, and In-service Education for Medical and Nursing Staff. There is also a comprehensive medication safety program supervised by a senior pharmacist. Recently we are also establishing a team of collaborative prescribing pharmacists credentialed by senior consultants.

Selection Criteria Essential: Current non-restricted registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia; or provisional registration with no more than 4 weeks supervised training required, and no further examination needed prior to the registration.
Desirable: Recent hospital or community pharmacy experience, (please specify).
Desirable: Relevant or working towards post graduate qualification (please specify).
