Position Summary

Peninsula Health is currently seeking experienced and customer service focused Theatre Technician's on a Part Time basis.

The Theatre Technician works in a multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and appropriate patient care. Working in a team environment they are accountable for the provision of care, in line with relevant standards, guidelines and policies of Peninsula Health.

The Theatre Technician works under the direct or indirect supervision of the Theatre Technician Manager and Registered nurses. This position involves a flexible and varied work environment fostering professionalism, cooperation, adaptability and a team player commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision of care, ensuring relevant standards, guidelines and policies of Peninsula Health are met.
• Work within proven areas of experience to provide safe and competent care.
• Be responsible for updating personal development in relation to current best practice for theatre technician services.
• Ensure the safety of the public, patients and staff in relation to the provision of a safe environment from both OH&S and Infection Control Perspectives.

Essential Criteria

• Are you able to work with other healthcare providers in a team environment?
• Do you have a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Theatre Technician)?
• Can you demonstrate recent experience as a Theatre Technician in a hospital setting?

Selection Criteria Essential: Theatre Technician experience in a Public or Private Hospital
Essential: Able to work effectively as a team member and autonomously when required.
Essential: Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Theatre Technician)
