Position Summary Peninsula Health is seeking a Manager of Infection Prevention and Control to manage and develop the Infection Prevention and Control Program and Employee Immunisation Services across Peninsula Health.
The service will promote the vision and goals of Peninsula Health and the best practice ideals of infection prevention and control to the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding regions.
Key Responsibilities • Ensure a high level of service is delivered at all times • Provide strategic direction for the Infection Prevention and Control Unit based on the recommendations from the Department of Human Services state-wide Infection Control audit report including the development of an annual operations plan to be submitted for Infection Prevention Committee approval • Manage the Infection Prevention and Control Unit team and service, and oversee the day to day management of infection prevention across the health service
Essential Criteria • Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia - AHPRA registration with demonstrated level of experience or demonstrated Post Graduate experience • Post Graduate qualifications relevant to Infection Prevention and Control • Experience with Infection Control at a senior or manager level • Accredited Nurse Immuniser • Victorian DH HIV accredited counsellor
