Peninsula Health is currently inviting applications for a trainee Administration Assistant.
Working in our Human Resources Department, the position is available under the Victorian Government Youth Employment Scheme (YES) which provides traineeship opportunities within the Victorian Government to young people.
Under funding guidelines, candidates are eligible to apply for the traineeship under this scheme if they are currently: - Aged between 15 and 24 years (as at the start of the traineeship) - Currently unemployed or not working more than 15 hours per week - Not currently engaged in tertiary education - Have not achieved a Certificate III (or higher) qualifications.
The position is temporary for 12 months; however successful candidates may apply for any ongoing positions available within Peninsula Health upon completion of the traineeship.
This full time position offers a New Apprenticeship (traineeship), where on-the-job training is combined with formal training arranged at the work site. Successful completion will result in the issue of a nationally recognised and accredited fully paid for qualification - Certificate III in Business (Office/Administration).
The successful candidate will assist the Human Resources Team in a variety of administrative and clerical tasks performed under supervision.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills are required and a strong working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint are essential. Must be reliable, punctual and well organised. Existing skills will be further enhanced by the formal training components of the traineeship.
