An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to lead a team in an innovative model of care in the Geriatric Evaluation and Management service at The Mornington Centre.

The SPeED program includes occupational therapists, physiotherapists and an allied health assistant to enable early supported discharge for subacute inpatients. The team works in collaboration with the wider interdisciplinary team.

Your leadership, communication and organisational skills will be highly advanced and you will be able to demonstrate abilities in team leadership, staff supervision and evidence-based practice. A proven ability to manage quality projects will be viewed favourably.

Selection Criteria Essential: Current Registration with the Occupational Therapy Board/Physiotherapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA).
Essential: Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
Essential: Demonstrated specialist skills in the area of Leadership and Occupational therapy/Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and patient management for complex GEM inpatients including thorough and appropriate discharge planning.
Essential: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Essential: Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate and participate in quality improvement and evidence based practice activities.
Essential: Commitment to own professional development and the professional development of the SPeED team.
Essential: Ability to provide leadership within an interdisciplinary team environment regarding clinical practice and operational performance.
Essential: Ability to develop comprehensive reports on key performance indicators and client outcomes.
Desirable: Relevant post graduate qualifications or working towards the same.
