Position Summary

The Business Partner, People and Culture, provides expert consultancy advice and recommendations to Managers and staff on all aspects of the Human Resources function, with particular focus on provision of expert employee relations advice and support. As a senior member of the People and Culture team, the Business Partner will be aligned to key stakeholder groups to ensure seamless and strategic design, delivery and execution of a full range of HR initiatives supporting successful delivery of the Peninsula Health People Strategy.

The Business Partner will be responsible for ensuring that advice, processes and tools align with Peninsula Health policies, industrial obligations and best practice HR management. In addition the HR Business Partner provides expert advice to management and senior staff on HR issues such as disciplinary matters, performance management, fitness for work processes, consultation for workplace change programs, training needs and employment obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert generalist HR advice and support to Peninsula Health’s managers and staff;
• Advise management and senior staff on HR issues such as disciplinary matters, consultation for workplace change programs, training needs and employment obligations;
• Manage a wide range of performance management and employee relations cases;
• Partner with stakeholders to successfully deliver key HR projects and initiatives;
• Consult with stakeholders on strategic and operational needs to assist in the management and engagement of our workforce.

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated experience as a HR Business Partner in a medium to large organisation
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law or a related field

Selection Criteria Desirable: Ability to scale easily between strategic and tactical tasks
Essential: Demonstrated experience as a HR Business Partner in a medium to large organisation
Essential: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law or a related field
Essential: Demonstrated extensive knowledge of employment law and application of Enterprise Agreements
Desirable: Health industry experience
