Peninsula Health is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible Grade Two Occupational Therapist, for a limited term full time position in a subacute rehabilitation setting.

This dynamic, challenging and rewarding position is suited to an Occupational therapist with a demonstrated ability to provide evidence based clinical care to subacute rehabilitation and aged care caseload. The successful applicant will have highly developed communication and organisational skills and will demonstrate leadership abilities within a multidisciplinary setting. Clinicians with an interest in cognition, general medicine and a strong commitment to evidence based practice are encouraged to apply.

Selection Criteria Essential: Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA
Essential: Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
Essential: Advanced ability to assess occupational performance considering physical, cognitive and psychosocial aspects of the person and their environment and determine appropriate intervention for the subacute inpatient setting
Essential: Advanced ability to participate in multidisciplinary team work and discharge planning activities
Essential: Ability to supervise students, Grade 1 staff and Allied Health Assistants; ensuring competent performance and employee development
Essential: Demonstrated competence in the area of complex home assessments and recommendations for equipment or modifications
Essential: High level of verbal and written communication skills appropriate for the purpose and intended audience
Essential: Developing leadership skills
Essential: Demonstrated commitment to professional development and evidence based practice
Essential: Demonstrated understanding of and participation in the quality improvement process
