Position Summary

The research project coordinator will provide research coordination and support in externally and internally funded research projects in healthy ageing being conducted by senior researchers within the Academic Unit at Peninsula Health.
The applicant will be expected to build and sustain effective working relationships with a network of internal and external stakeholders and use these to facilitate communication, understand the needs of the projects and deliver effective outcomes. They will be expected to draw upon prior research and bio-medical expertise in order to develop technology to support projects and achieve desired outcomes. They will participate in and contribute to the overall research activities of the unit as a member of the team. This will include attending relevant team and organisational meetings and professional development activities relevant to the needs of the unit.

Selection Criteria Essential: Undergraduate qualification in the medical or biomedical field
Essential: Experience in developing or implementing new health technologies including specifications, development, testing and validation
Essential: Demonstrated experience in collaborative research
Essential: Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and work collaboratively with stakeholders including managers, research institutions, government and funding bodies, private companies, consumer groups and senior management
Essential: Demonstrated leadership working within a multidisciplinary clinical/research team
Essential: Experience performing statistical analyses using statistical software packages such as Stata, R or SAS
