Position Summary

The Workforce Bureau Recruitment Officer will work collaboratively with the Workforce Bureau team to design, implement and monitor an overall recruitment strategy to ensure the recruitment and retention of nursing positions within the scope of the Pilot Recruitment Project.

The Workforce Bureau Recruitment Officer will work collaboratively with Managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives and will be responsible for attracting candidates and matching them to temporary and permanent positions within the Project scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Map current employment/recruitment processes and identify process improvements and efficiencies to enhance customer service, reduce time to fill vacancies and minimise paperwork requirements
• Provide recommendations on improved employer attraction, employer value proposition, benefits and services
• Write and post position descriptions for advertising for the use in a range of media avenues
• Screen candidates, conduct interviews and work with key stakeholders to complete background checks
• Guide managers through the “end-to-end” recruitment and advertising processes

Essential Criteria

• Experience in recruitment of staff
• Ability to prepare reports and other written communication clearly and
concisely with all relevant information
• Well-developed verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service and continuous improvement
• Working knowledge of discipline specific legislation relevant to clinical practice
• Advanced computer skills, using a wide range of software application features including the Microsoft Office range
• Demonstrated experience in creating and on-going management of detailed workforce reports
• Working knowledge of Nursing EBA
