Position Summary

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is a valued member of the leadership team at Peninsula Health, committed to upholding Peninsula Health’s values and meeting organisational goals.

The ANUM supports the Nurse Unit Manger (NUM) and when required acts in their role to provide effective leadership and management of the Unit/Department. The ANUM works with the NUM to oversee the delivery of safe, evidence based, person centered care to achieve optimal health outcomes or a dignified death.

To ensure clinical safety and continuity of patient centered care there is a requirement that all ANUM positions be a minimum of 0.6 EFT per week

Key Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the NUM to achieve high quality clinical care in accordance with evidence based practice standards and Peninsula Health Values
• Ensure safety of the public, patients and staff in relation to the provision of relevant Acts and Peninsula Health Policies
• In conjunction with the NUM, ensure all staff have completed mandatory training and have active performance development plans

Selection Criteria Essential: Are you a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and completion of a graduate year or equivalent experience
