Position Summary An Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) position exists in the Child & Adolescent Unit for a Registered Nurse with paediatric experience on a permanent part time basis. The position requires a motivated person, who is able to provide staff with guidance & leadership. The Unit consists of 15 beds which cares for babies, children & adolescents with medical & surgical conditions.
The ANUM supports the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and when required acts in their role to provide effective leadership and management of the Unit. The ANUM works with the team to oversee the delivery of safe, evidence based, person centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes.
Essential Criteria • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration. • Previous Paediatric experience. • Knowledge of current paediatric practice. • Prepares clear and concise written documentation. • Clearly & confidently communicates with key contacts. • Welcomes constructive feedback. • Polite and considerate in dealing with others. • Demonstrated commitment to delivering high quality outcomes for consumers. • Demonstrated clinical knowledge & skills with commensurate experience. • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. • Able to use basic computer software applications. • Communicates well with consumers from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. • Supports individuals and the team, delegating responsibilities appropriately. • Understands the issues and pressures to which the organisation has to respond. • Seeks all relevant information for problem solving. • Identifies and supports where necessary the need for change. • Accepts responsibility for own actions.
