Position Summary
A Grade One full time, limited term position is now available in the Peninsula Health Occupational Therapy Department until January 2017. The current vacancy exists at The Mornington Centre, a 90 bed purpose built subacute facility. Applicants able to make an immediate start are encouraged to apply.

The successful applicant will demonstrate professionalism, sound theoretical knowledge and well developed organisational and communication skills. Selection Criteria Essential: Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (via AHPRA).
Essential: Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
Essential: Ability to assess occupational performance considering physical, cognitive and psychosocial, aspects of the person and their environment and determine appropriate intervention in physical and mental health settings.
Essential: Aware of, interprets and applies Occupational Therapy theoretical frameworks.
Essential: Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills in a variety of settings.
Essential: Monitors own performance. Takes an organised and methodical approach to the prioritisation of tasks and regularly plans and tracks progress.
Essential: Conducts evidence based practice and is committed to professional development.
Essential: Ability to be an effective team member within the Occupational Therapy and multidisciplinary team settings.
Desirable: Experience in adult acute/sub-acute, physical or mental health settings as a student or graduate therapist.
Desirable: Membership of Occupational Therapy Australia Limited.
