Advertisement text We are seeking an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant to join our paediatric NDIS team to support children aged 0-18 years and their families. This position forms part of a team including Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Physiotherapists and Psychology.

We have a focus on family centered, strength based practice in natural settings with manageable caseloads. The successful applicant will receive frequent supervision and mentoring from senior clinicians. Our team sits within the broader public health network of Peninsula Health and operates across the areas of Frankston City Council and Mornington Peninsula Shire.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be working as part of a collaborative team to provide intervention and resources to children with development delay and disabilities and their families.
Our service is based within a range of natural settings including home, kinder, child care and schools. We are a social and supportive team, who are passionate about working together to build our skills and provide quality services to our participants.

What You Will Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Qualification in Cert 4 or equivalent Allied Health Assistant
• Commitment to ongoing learning and continuous reflective learning
• Developing skill in providing therapy services to children with disabilities and their families in natural settings

Selection Criteria Essential: • Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistants) or equivalent
Essential: • Skills and commitment to working in child-centred and family-focused practices including skills in working with vulnerable and disadvantaged families.
Essential: • Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the principles
