Position Summary
An exciting opportunity exists within the Midwifery Department for a passionate and dedicated Nurse/Midwifery Unit Manager on a permanent full time basis.

Your primary role will be to lead and mentor a team of midwifery staff and other health professionals. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong innovative leadership style and commitment to the provision of quality, evidence-based patient and person centred care.

You will work in close collaboration with your team to provide support and mentoring on providing evidence based care in partnership with our women, families and the health care providers to empower our local mums to make an informed decision about her choice of care!

About our Midwifery Department
Our Multidisciplinary Team in Midwifery work with passion to deliver world class healthcare for the local community.

Our Midwifery department offers comprehensive pregnancy care for women and their families in our Women's Health Unit at Frankston Hospital. We provide a level 5 Maternity Service and are proud to assist in over 2900 births each year. We are also well supported by a lovely team of Midwives in our level 4 Special Care Nursery.

We are currently in the process of developing a new Model of Care which provides you with an opportunity to join us in an exciting time of development and play an active role in the review and leadership of our new processes.

• Do you have previous management experience?

Selection Criteria Essential: Registered Midwife/Nurse with current AHPRA registration
Desirable: Experience in a leadership or management role
Desirable: Working towards or having completed a postgraduate qualification in health management.
Essential: Experience with HR processes e.g. recruitment and retention
