Position Summary

The leading integrated healthcare network in the Mornington Peninsula region is seeking the services of an enthusiastic and committed Radiology administrative support person to carry out front and back office functions, and assist the technical staff if required with the operations of the Radiology department. The successful applicant will be customer and patient focused, have a flexible approach to their work with a can do attitude, be able to work independently and as part of a team whilst being focused on delivering the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities

• The Medical Imaging Clerical Administrator/Operations Assistant requires high levels of Computer Literacy, Medical Terminology, attention to detail and customer and empathy service skills to:
• Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered at all times
• Deal with administrative priorities in a timely manner
• Respect and maintains confidentiality at all times
• Demonstrate positive workplace behaviours and relationships at all times
• Operate in the clinical area assisting the Medical Imaging Technologists to deliver efficient patient flow and imaging procedures.

Selection Criteria Desirable: Demonstrable track record of advancing improvement in patient care through developments of medical imaging services and skills.
Essential: Able to assist the MIT’S in managing patient throughout the examination process
Desirable: Medical Terminology
Desirable: Cert III in Business Administration/ Health Administration or higher
Desirable: Allied Health Assistant Qualifications
Desirable: Radiology administration experience in an acute healthcare setting
