Position Summary
Peninsula Health currently has an opportunity for an experienced and personable ward clerk to join our outpatient clerical team on a Temporary, Full-time, Maternity leave cover basis. Collaborating closely with a committed clerical and clinical team, the ward clerk will present a professional, welcoming and informative reception to patients and visitors. They will also ensure efficient and effective general clerical support for outpatients staff respecting confidentiality at all times. Experience in an outpatient or patient reception setting in the health sector would be highly regarded.

Essential Criteria
· Demonstrated competency in medical terminology.
· Sets personal standards of excellence and measures and delivers outcomes in a timely manner
· Addresses priority tasks first.
· Understands the purpose of, and is able to use, common software applications and email.
· Ability to manage a multi-line telephone system.
· Effective, clear and courteous communication skills.
