What You Will Be Doing The Elective Surgery Booking Officer works within the Department of Surgery – Elective Surgery Waiting List Office, which consists of the Elective Surgery Access Manager, Elective Surgery Clinical Coordinators and Booking Officers.
The role supports the day to day functioning of the Elective Surgery Waiting List Office, supported by the Elective Surgery Access Manager, and focuses on the ongoing maintenance of the Elective Surgery Waiting List and the accurate updating of patient’s data as per the guidelines of ESIS (Elective Surgery Information Systems).
Key Responsibilities • Ensure effective customer service delivered at all times • Working within the guidelines for waiting list management as per the Elective Surgery Access Policy. • Work collaboratively with clinical coordinators • Keeping accurate patient information updated • Audit patients on the waiting list • Data entry onto iPM • Ensuring positive workplace behaviours and relationships
What You Need • Demonstrated experience at administrative level • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications desirable • Sound written communication skills • Medical Terminology • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills including excellent telephone manner • Ability to work unsupervised in a confidential environment. • Ability to prioritise competing demands and problem-solve
