Position Summary
The Program Manager Acute Mental Health will provide operational and strategic leadership to the Acute Mental Health Programs Mental Health Telephone Triage, Acute Assessment Team, PACER, Adult Acute In-patient Unit (2West), Consultation Liaison and Psychiatric Assessment and Planning Unit, Youth and Adult Prevention and Recovery Care units and the HOPE program. This role will operate in a dual governance partnership with the Head of Adult Psychiatrist role to ensure the provision of high quality, evidenced based acute and subacute mental health programs.

Key Responsibilities
• Provides professional leadership to all staff in their program of responsibility
• The Program Manager Acute Mental Health will be responsible for management of budgets, quality care and monitoring of key performance indicators
• Manage the planning, development and implementation of the mental Health service initiatives in line with the Peninsula Health Strategic Plan

Essential Criteria
• Registered Nurse with post basic qualifications in Mental Health or Allied Health equivalent
• Extensive Experience working in the Mental Health field
• Evidence of ongoing professional development and training
• Advanced leadership skills and demonstrated ability to lead in complex environments
