Position Summary

Clinical Research Nurse - Haem/Oncology Clinical Trial Unit
3 days per week (Tues, Weds and Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm)

Peninsula Health currently has an opportunity for an experienced and dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to join our Haematology / Oncology Clinical Trial Unit on a part time basis. As a member of the research team, the Clinical Research Nurse will have responsibility for the delivery and/or indirect care and associated data collection for concurrent research studies undertaken in the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical research in accordance with TGA ICH GCP and the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Research Involving Humans.
• Ensure clinical trials are undertaken in accordance with the terms approved by the Peninsula Health Ethics committee and the Therapeutics Foods Administration (TGA)
• Update knowledge in relation to each clinical trial protocol including procedures and documentation to ensure the safe and accurate conduct and recording of the study.
• Maintain the Site Investigator Files
• Prepare and maintain study source documentation
• Enter data and respond to data queries in a timely manner

Essential Criteria

• Registered nurse with extensive post graduate nursing experience
• Demonstrated research/clinical trial coordination skills including awareness of TGA ICH-GCP Guidelines and relevant regulatory/statutory guidelines

Selection Criteria Essential: Registered nurse with extensive post graduate nursing experience

Essential: Time management skills/ability to prioritise workload.
Desirable: Previous Clinical Trial/Research experience
Desirable: Demonstrated commitment to professional development in relevant specialty
